You can now export your data from ThisIsLike in graphml format (a variation of XML). This allows you to visualize the items and relationships you added through ThisIsLike as a network in software like Gephi.

In order to do it, just click "Visual Map Export" under the tag cloud of the item and then choose "Graphml" option. If you need an example, try to do it with ThisIsLike.Com item itself.

With the new version of ThisIsLike.Com we introduced the new feature: personalized guides. You can create a guide to anything you want, like your favorite cafes in Europe, or a list of the best writers, and associate with it the things you'd like to include there. Then share a link with your friends and invite them to contribute.

We are very happy to announce a cool new feature: you can now receive recommendations about things, places, people, and events you like on your mobile phone.

Here's why it's so useful. Imagine you're going out, had a good party in the club you like, and now ready to move on. Where else to go? Normally, you'd come up to somebody and ask them if they know any other club like this one. Well, now you can ask ThisIsLike.Com – meaning you ask several hundreds of knowledgeable people in real time, to get a high quality crowd-sourced recommendation.

The best way to discover ThisIsLike.Com is to enter something you already know and the system will show everything related to it. If it's not yet in the system, you will be offered to add a new item. During this process, ThisIsLike.Com will utilize semantic analysis and uncover various associations and links from the internet to offer you make new links and connections.

For example, let's say that we want to find out more about ThisIsLike.Com itself. We can go to http://thisislike.com and enter "thisislike" into the search field.

Or, say, you found a choreographer you like and she's not yet on ThisIsLike.Com. Just add their profile and link them to the other choreographers that you find similar or venues where they performed. Our software will automatically scan the internet for relationships and offer you the associations that you might find interesting. If we don't find anything, you can still add this item so that other users can start building a web of associations around it (this way you'll learn what this choreographer is like from the others).

This Is Like is user-run collaborative guide to subcultures, scenes, and entertainment. It allows you to find things that are similar to each other and discover the new ones.

You can build a network of associations and similar items, thus creating a small model of your brain for easy reference. Your friends and other readers can access your associations and browse through them.
