This site is a collaborative database of associations. Any registered user can add any item they want and to associate it ("Link") with anything else they wish.
Therefore, we do not take any responsibility for any materials that you might discover on this site. While we take utmost care not to allow any offensive, inaccurate, or copyright-infringement materials on this site, we can take no liability for any inconvenience, loss (financial and otherwise), or injury sustained by anyone using this site.
At any moment we reserve the right to terminate the service to any user without any notice or explanation.
Copyright & Ownership
All the information appearing on the Site is copyright by the respective authors. The authors of the texts, photos, sounds, graphics, design that appear on this site as well as appropriate copyrights are listed on the corresponding pages.
The concept of ThisIsLike.Com, the software, the code, text, graphics and design are owned by ThisIsLike.Com.
No part of ThisIsLike.Com may be copied, reproduced, stored, or transmitted in any form and media without a prior written permission from us (except for the content licensed under Creative Commons license, which allows no derivatives and no commercial use, but allows quotation always attributing the original source – the URL on ThisIsLike.Com). However, parts of this website may be saved on a hard disk for up to 24 hours and printed out solely for personal non-commercial use always providing a link back to the original source (the URL of the page on ThisIsLike.Com).
You can also use RSS feeds for personal non-commercial use always providing an active URL link back to ThisIsLike.Com. It's forbidden to use the information (content and relationships between items) provided by ThisIsLike.Com for commercial use or to build a similar recommendation service, without our prior written permission.
Paid Services – Mobile Phone SMS Service
You can receive certain information, such as the contact details of a venue, a list of items similar to the one you select, event listings, etc. over the phone by sending a text message with your request to +44 7624 802 552 (it's just a regular UK mobile number, so your provider's standard charge applies here). We will then send you a text message back with the information you requested. Each message you receive will be billed to your account at the amount of €0.30 (this amount might be changed, in which case you'll be informed about it at least 3 days before). These fees are not refundable, but we give you a chance to try to it out for free (10 messages) to make up your mind about the service. And of course, if you don't have money on your account, you won't be charged. Find out more information about this service.
Paid Services – Item Promotions
When you make an association between two items, you can choose one of them to be promoted on the other item's page. In case you select this option, you will be asked to pay a one-off fee of €20. For this price, the item will be promoted on the other item's page for 30 days. It will always show up first in the list of similar items and will be highlighted yellow. The price and conditions might be changed at our own discretion, however, the service you order will be provided to you for the period you ordered it at the price that was charged to your account. No refunds are given.
Paid Services – Show URL on Items' Description Page
Normally we don't show URLs on an item's description page. However, for a fixed fee of €20 you can turn on a URL to show up on any item's page for the period of 30 days. The price and conditions might be changed at our own discretion, however, the service you order will be provided to you as ordered for the price and period you originally selected. No refunds are given.
For all paid services – the money you transfer to your account on ThisIsLike.Com are not refundable. Therefore, we recommend that you transfer only as much as you want to use at a time.
Privacy
ThisIsLike.Com will never share your e-mail address or any other personal details with anybody else. All the details you enter on this site are voluntarily, and you're welcome to provide as much information about yourself as you deem necessary.
While you're browsing our site, we collect some basic non-personally identifiable information in order to have an insight into how people use our Site. This information may include such general data as the number of page views per month, the most popular pages of the site, the average amount of time spent on the site, etc.
This information is gathered based on our server's Log file and by the advanced web site statistics service - Google Analytics.
From time to time you might receive informational and promotional e-mails from us. If you'd like to unsubscribe, just reply back saying Unsubscribe in the body of the message.
We reserve the right to change at any time these terms and conditions.
